Best time for rice terrace photography in northern Vietnam 2023
This year 2023, the first season is around 15 May, it is the beginning of the rain season, so they have water in the rice field, then at sunrise or sunset we can have the reflection of light in the rice terrace fields.
And the other season is harvesting rice or golden rice terrace is during 15 Sep to 10 Oct, within this period almost the rice is ready to harvest. Some fields for photographers last longer than normal fields.
Most of the great view of rice terrace photography we need to go to the top of the hill with a short drive of motorbike about 10 - 15 minutes from the main road. And during the peak season of rice terrace photography in Mu Cang Chai, the hotel quality with private rooms is not much and almost fully booked (we need to check with the specific date later). And the homestay with dom room (10-15 people sharing a room with private mattress and the toilet is out of the room) is available and more comment in this area.

Da Lat photography tour Feb 2023
Da Lat is the most well known in Vietnam for tourist especially for landscape photographer. The period of Feb and Apr when travel to Da Lat you will have more chance to enjoy the mist of the area. I have just been there in this Feb 2023 with a little luck of the weather then we enjoyed the Da Lat photo tour too much.
The most memorable shooting activity in this trip is walking 3 km through the pine forest, although the path is easy to walk but, in our group, we have an 80-year-old member, so we have spent an hour to get the shooting spot. Luckily the weather is too much great for photography, so we are almost feeling happy and not tired any more.
